Premask holds vinyl letters and logos in place for applying to substrates. We use Premask for various vinyl cut applications as well as sell Premask to customers who have their own various purposes for it’s use. Premask has a lighter adhesive than regular masking tape, so as to not hold too strong or leave sticky residue behind.
Vinyl is weeded so as to leave only the desired graphic on the paper carrier. Premask is then laid across the vinyl and firmly applied with a squeegee. The Premaks is then peeled bringing up the vinyl with it leaving the paper carrier behind. This is then applied to the substrate and peeled away leaving the vinyl behind.
If you have any questions or concerns about using Premask we will be happy to guide you through the process in more detail, particularly employing what we call the Hinge Method for applying the vinyl safely and without room for error in levelness.
